Summer is on the horizon and that means many families are preparing for vacations! More specifically many families, like us, will be making their way to the beach for fun in the sun. Of course, the kid’s excitement is palatable and they have loads of questions about the beach and the ocean. What sort of creatures can they expect to meet? Where does sand come from? What causes high tides and low tides and so much more! So, while we are having some big juicy conversations about the marine food chain, I’m also preparing the children for their trip by offering a wide range of ocean and sea creature books to quench their thirst! A Wonderful listing of books. Many of these are our favorites; through the years I think we have studied just about every type of ocean animal there is. My middle son, in particular, really enjoys reading about sharks, turtles, dolphins, whales, and squids. Pinned.
