How to make the Star Wars Inspired Cootie Catcher

Cut off the white edges of the square pattern you printed.

With your pattern facing down, fold all four of the corners into the center. Be sure to watch your lines and try to make it as even as possible.

Turn your pattern over so that the Star Wars inspired icons Sith, Jedi, Wookie, and Droid are facing up. Fold the corners into the center again to create a smaller square. Be sure to crease your edges.

Next, fold the square in half so that the bounty hunter is on top. Make a crease. Unfold it. Then fold it the opposite way so that Yoda is on top. Make a crease.

Then, place your fingers into the bottom of the paper and pop it up to make four cone shapes. The Star Wars inspired Fortune Teller is ready to divulge your future!

How to play the Star Wars Inspired Cootie Catcher Game.

Hold your Star Wars Inspired Cootie Catcher with two hands. Place your thumbs and pointer fingers inside the cone shapes. Let the person who is being sorted choose one of the images on the top. Either the Bounty Hunter, Ewok, Yoda, or Storm Trooper.

Each picture has a number associated with it. Open and close the Cootie Catcher alternating between up and then across with your fingers. For example; if they chose the Bounty Hunter, you open the Cootie Catcher 6 times. If the Yoda is chosen, then you open the Cootie Catcher 3 times.

Then, the player will choose one of the words on the inside of the Star Wars Inspired Cootie Catcher. The number next to the word tells you how many times to open and close the Cootie Catcher again.

Repeat this process for a total of 2-3 times.

On the second or third word selection, instead of counting out the numbers again, you will open the flap and read the prediction under that word.

There are four possible outcomes:

  1. Jedi – “The Force is strong in your family young Jedi!”
  2. Sith – “Fear is the path to The Dark Side!”
  3. Wookie – “Uuuuur Ahhh Uhrr Uhhhrrr Aaagh…” It’s not wise to upset a Wookie!
  4. Droid – “Beep Bloop Beep Bleep Blop…” You’re a feisty little Droid!

This fortune teller game is totally “official” and will determine your fate as a Jedi, Sith, Wookie, or Droid…FOREVER!

Enjoy!
