The past year has seen many changes and challenges for our family and our homeschool. We found ourselves uprooted from the hustle and bustle of city life, and planted firmly on my sister’s farm in Tennessee. Adjusting to the ebb and flow of this new life has been both overwhelming and wonderful. We’ve found that the seasons of homeschool, much like our lives, can transition and shift. So, with this New Year and new homeschool season upon us I am focused on being thankful, making more meaningful connections, and making memories with our children. What better way to bond with our kids than with brownies, books and games in the New Year!
Folks, I am so excited to share a fun strategy math game with you: HoliMaths X Multiplication Game!
Multiplication. Times Tables. Math. These words can strike fear into the hearts of many parents. How many of us hated memorizing our multiplication facts? How many of us loathed the drills and flash cards? *Raises hands in the air and waves them wildly* Needless to say I wanted to give our own child a different experience with the Times Tables. I wanted his journey through Multiplication and Math in general to be filled with fun, joy, and excitement as well as providing a meaningful learning experiences.
If you have followed us for any amount of time, then you know we don’t use boxed curriculum’s in our homeschool. We follow our children’s interests whatever that looks like. Now, that doesn’t mean our children are not learning. On the contrary, our kids are learning all of the time! One of the ways our 8 year old likes to learn…Games and Apps. Here are his favorites.
