I thought I would compile a list of all of my sons favorite resources. These are all things that Gabriel chooses to incorporate into his life. Most of these are used on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.

LEGO’s

The most used resource by my son would be LEGO’s.  These little bricks provide hours of open ended play and my son adores them. He has converted our sun room into his “LEGO Room!”

K’nex

A recently discovered resource has been K’nex! My son tried the K’nex Robo Sting and fell in love. This is a great introduction to gears, motors, and simple machines.

Audible

Gabriel loves listening to books on our Audible App. You can get a free 30 day trial membership here with two free books! We’ve been listening to “The Fellowship of the Ring” by J.R.R. Tolkein.

Little Passports

Gabriel has been enjoying Little Passports for over a year with no sign of tiring of it. Each month he gets a package in the mail from a new country! He loves Sam and Sofia and always looks forward to their letters.

Prodigy Math Game

This is a free math game that my son loves to play on the computer.

Internet

We use the internet daily for Documentaries or just to answer a random question that Gabriel has. Yesterday he asked what the different parts of the brain were….

Groovy Lab in a Box

This is a monthly subscription that Gabriel gets each month in the mail. Each box has a STEM activity to do. He loves STEM activities!

Library

We love our library! A library card is essential for any kid, homeschool or no. Gabriel chooses anything he wants. Some days he comes home loaded down with books on dragons. Another day it may be books on rocks or grammar! He has very eclectic tastes.

Local Zoos, Museums, and Nature Preserves

These are all imperative! We try to visit one of these each week. They are great for creating curiosity and excitement in us all!

Sassafras Science Adventure

Gabriel loves the Sassafras Twins Blaine and Tracey! They have the best science adventures.

Life of Fred

We have been using Life of Fred off and on over the past year. Gabriel enjoys the story of 5 year old Fred and how he applies math to everyday life.

Daily Walks in Nature

Reconnecting with nature is very important for Gabriel.

I hope you found something helpful in our list of resources.
