Getting Organized with a 1Thrive Wall Organizer

A wall organizer that helped simplify my hectic life!

It can be a challenge to get organized. As many of us moms well know. I struggle with organization, folks. I either have everything piled high on counters, OR I’ve stashed everything behind closed doors and into cupboards. The problem with both methods is I can’t find anything. Out of sight, out of mind, and then things get missed.

Surprise! There is a scheduled appointment today!

Or, oops! You forgot to call your kid’s math curriculum to reset when their pre-algebra lessons would start… true story.

How about when I forgot it was Friday and my son has an Italian class every Friday at 2 pm? I had wondered if I forgot something just before I slipped into that glorious nap on the couch. It turns out I was!

*Disclosure: I was asked for an honest review of The Susan 1Thrive Wall Organizer. I was compensated for my time. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own. I only choose to share resources that I would use with my own family and those that I believe other families will enjoy and benefit from.

When Organization and Space is a Problem

I have a tiny space by the front door where I get all of my work done. Yes, I’m a working homeschool mom. I write for my blog and the blogs of others. I also create digital images for clients to use on their social media accounts.

For well over a year, an apple crate on the floor had been my workstation.

Sad but true.

And up until this past winter, when my Great Pyrenees ran me over trying to get to the UPS guy at the door, knocked my laptop to the ground, and left dents on the screen, it never occurred to me that I should update!

An apple crate does not make a sturdy desk, folks!

Also, the clock on the wall didn’t even have hands. They fell off and into my lap one day. So, I was looking to update this space to make it more functional and maybe pretty.

It was hard trying to figure out how to utilize this space better because it IS the best spot in the house for me to work. But, it’s small. That wall is less than 40 inches wide. I had to find a small desk and then utilize the wall above.

Wall Organizing Simplified

I found an antique sewing table on Facebook Marketplace for cheap and chalk-painted it. It fit perfectly as a desk in my space!

Now for that wall.

What makes a great office wall organizer, you may ask.

Easy! A calendar, memo board, file holder, key hanger, and supply organizers for pens and markers! It needs to be functional for you or your family, and bonus points for aesthetically pleasing!

Could I have a place to hang my pretty scissors too?

I wanted clean, happy, and oozing with functionality!

What is a 1Thrive Wall Organizer

I love my Susan Wall Organizer from 1Thrive.

All the pieces are modular, which means you can put them wherever you want. It was so easy to install! Just two screws and I was done with the installation!

You can also customize by shuffling the pieces around any way you want!

Plus, they’re magnetic! The caddy stores my business documents, paperwork, and my planner.

The calendar has all of our appointments right where I can see them- no more out of sight out, of mind. The recommended 1WRITE liquid chalk markers work wonderfully for both the whiteboard and blackboard. Each command center comes with a set of 2 non-toxic liquid chalk markers.

I ordered extra markers because I’m obsessed with pretty colors!

There’s a blackboard for my to-do lists and cork boards for hanging essential papers.

I like to keep encouraging cards and self-care tips at eye level. They are important for this mom’s well-being. We sometimes put more effort into creating lovely spaces for our kids and find our own needs pushed to the backburner. Whenever I sit here in my little office space to work, I can’t help but smile.

I’ve had my 1Thrive organizer for several months, and one of my favorite things about it is how stylish it is! Filling it out each month is a breeze, and I look forward to it. I’m so thrilled I was able to take a small wall in my living room and not only make it functional and usable for my office/desk space, but it also looks so pretty! It’s a part of my home decor!
