Folks, I am so excited to share a fun strategy math game with you: HoliMaths X Multiplication Game!
Multiplication. Times Tables. Math. These words can strike fear into the hearts of many parents. How many of us hated memorizing our multiplication facts? How many of us loathed the drills and flash cards? *Raises hands in the air and waves them wildly* Needless to say I wanted to give our own child a different experience with the Times Tables. I wanted his journey through Multiplication and Math in general to be filled with fun, joy, and excitement as well as providing a meaningful learning experiences.
Wow, I can hardly believe that I started this blog a year ago. We have had so many adventures, challenges and accomplishments since January 1st. Here is a look back at our top 10 most popular blog post of 2015.
Welcome to another week in the life of unschoolers. I promise our week did not solely consist of reading, but…. a large part of it did. Between our A-Book-A-Day Advent Calendar and the library we were reading maniacs! The children are taking turns with who opens an advent book each day. I’m really loving this tradition as it is helping the kids to countdown and it creates a wonderful bonding moment as we snuggle up to read that days advent book. Opening our books in front of our Harry Potter Christmas tree has been really special.
The temperatures have begun to drop and the leaves have begun to change. With these changes the children and I thought we would respond to autumn’s call with a little walk in our neighborhood.
Tuesday began outside investigating holes and dirt. Jade very much wanted to find a snake. I very much did not want her to. Luckily the holes were empty! We then met up with friends and enjoyed playing outside games the rest of the morning.
