The weekend of our daughter's birthday, the Knoxville Zoo had their Dollar Days. This is where you can get $1 tickets to the zoo so long as you bring non-perishable food donations for each ticket purchased. On Friday I took our son, Gabriel, on a hike with a group of other homeschoolers. This hike was led by a Ranger and was going to cover the native edible plants in our area. On Saturday, we decided to visit an animal sanctuary called Noah's Ark. We felt this would make a great family outing as well as an educational experience for us all.
