Our Day at the Knoxville Zoo
The weekend of our daughter's birthday, the Knoxville Zoo had their Dollar Days. This is where you can get $1 tickets to the zoo so long as you bring non-perishable food donations for each ticket purchased. I bought six tickets and we invited Uncle Joe and Aunt Stephanie to come along with us. The children were so excited to visit all of the animals. They could barely contain their … [Read more...] about Our Day at the Knoxville Zoo

Ripley’s Aquarium
While on our holiday in Tennessee my two sisters and I made a trip to Gatlinburg. We were going to Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies with the children. I wasn't sure if our daughter, Jade, was old enough to really enjoy it. When we got there she excitedly showed us the fossil marks in the walkway, I knew she was going to have fun. Fair warning....I took loads of pictures, but aquariums … [Read more...] about Ripley’s Aquarium

We decided to go to the Atlanta Zoo Sunday morning. It was a lovely day, slightly overcast and in the mid 70's. It was perfect! We began our tour of the zoo with the pink flamingos. What Homeschool Looks Like
The Science Festival in Atlanta, GA. is a very exciting experience for a science loving kid. It is a first for Gabriel as is the train ride to Centennial Olympic Park where all of the booths are set up! Gabriel had me put war paint on him before getting dressed....because that's what you do as a 7 year old boy about to go on an adventure! He may or may not have an obsession with J. R. R. … [Read more...] about What Homeschool Looks Like
What Homeschool Looks Like, A Compassion Experience
Last week I asked my son if he would like to go to the "Compassion Experience." I told him it was a way for him to experience how children in other countries live in poverty.
