*Disclosure: I was asked for an honest review of Fascinating Intro to Chemistry. I was compensated for my time. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own. I only choose to share resources that I would use with my own family and those that I believe other families will enjoy and benefit from.

Lately, my son has taken an interest in a couple of fascinating scientists: Marie Curie, Louis Pasteur, Ernest Rutherford, and Alfred Nobel, to name a few.
His interests took him down the rabbit hole of chemistry, and I knew I needed more resources to strew to help him on his journey. But here’s the thing. Long gone are the days of elementary science lessons like making slime or oobleck. Easy hands-on nature studies are simply not cutting it for my teen anymore. He wants more. And I? Well, I’m struggling to figure out how to fill this need that having an older student poses.
A resource that helps present information in an audio/visually appealing way would be great. Also, if it could be hands-off on my part, that would be even better. I want my son to follow his interest in Chemistry for as long as he is interested.
I recently discovered Fascinating Education and thought this could be exactly what my son needs!
When I asked my son if he’d be interested in an Introduction to Chemistry course, he replied, “I think that would be quite beneficial.”
This kid!
Sometimes I feel like I’m just along for the ride.
Online Science Course with Fascinating Education
Sheldon Margulies created Fascinating Education, a practicing neurologist with multiple medical degrees and author of three books who felt scientific literacy and excitement deteriorated in middle school through high school. He wanted to help kids keep that inquisitive nature through their teen years.
Thus, Fascinating Education was born. It flips traditional science teaching methods by providing simple, colorful illustrations as the primary teaching tool combined with text and audio explanations.
Introduction to Chemistry Perfect for Middle School or High School
The Intro to Chemistry is perfect for middle school or high schoolers with minimal science backgrounds because it is:

Each lesson was concise. My son chose to watch a lesson on day one and then take the test on day two. If needed, he would review and retest on day three.
