Do you need addition math worksheets for your kindergartner or first grader? Maybe your kiddo needs a little extra help with their math confidence. These Page A Day Math booklets are perfect for kids needing daily math practice while building math fluency!
*Disclosure: I was compensated for my time in exchange for an honest review of Page A Day Math. I was not required to write a positive review. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own. I only choose to share resources that I would use with my own family and those that I believe other families will enjoy and benefit from.
We are not the type of homeschoolers that typically use flashcards and math drills. We tend to have a more organic approach to math. I prefer to strew loads of math resources for my children to discover.
Strewing can help create a learning-rich environment in your homeschool whether you are relaxed interest-led homeschoolers, like us, or follow more of a classical approach.
You can encourage mathematical exploration with everyday activities, items, and conversations. That doesn’t mean you can’t use worksheets and workbooks. On the contrary, when your child shows an interest and desire, then be sure to feed that passion.
My daughter loves counting. She is our little mathematician. Always adding, subtracting, looking for patterns, and putting items into groups. So when I heard about Page A Day Math I was excited to see if it would fan her love of math and help her with her math fluency.
Daily Math Practice Addition Worksheets
Upon opening the addition and counting set, my daughter was thrilled with the size of the booklets. They are made with children in mind: small, colorful, and sturdy!
The addition set would be perfect for kindergartners or first graders working on their addition skills. But it would also be good for older kids who needed extra addition practice.
PageADayMath.com offers practice for addition to 10 using the engaging addition and counting set.
Just as the name suggests, children only complete a page a day of the math workbooks. This is a 10-book system with 14 days of practice per book that offers 24 problems per day.
Each practice typically only takes 10 minutes per day. Each day focuses on one specific addition problem. For example, Day 9 focuses on 6+8. Then there are reviews of previous math facts interspersed.
Short consistent approaches to math are far more effective in our home than long boring worksheets.
Why I Love Page A Day Math
This is a supplement to any math curriculum. However, it can also be used as a basic math fact fluency curriculum.
These addition math worksheets are perfect for kiddos needing the practice to increase their math fluency. The quality of these booklets makes them a great resource for your homeschool.
There are even downloadable editions of the math books for anyone who would prefer them to the hard copy versions.
My daughter has been enjoying Page A Day Math addition worksheets this summer. She’s focused on sharpening her math fluency because she’s itching to start multiplication!
The picture book format along with the adorable encouraging puppy characters is fun and gives a playful feel to the program. She’s even taken to doing her math on the trampoline while yelling out the answers! Play matters, folks! And when children are playing they are learning in far more effective ways.
A Page A Day Math has been a fantastic math resource that’s helping to enrich our homeschool lifestyle.
