April 22nd is celebrated around the world as Earth Day. Many people plant trees, help clean up trash or even recycle. We found our Earth Day to be a soggy and wet day….but, that is part of living on this Earth…the weather! So, we donned our rain boots, raincoats and umbrellas and headed out into the rain to a nearby creek.

It’s really fabulous to watch the kids bonding with all of the farm animals. To capture that moment when two kindred spirits meet is a magical thing.
Last weekend we took a break from farm life and enjoyed a day at Hardin Park. This is a really lovely park that boasts a duck pond, stream, playground and pool facility. The children were excited to see the large, red train car! They had the best time climbing all over it and pretending they were conductors. I just love their pretend play!
Hello everyone! As many of you know, two weeks ago my husband and I made the spontaneous decision to move our family away from the city and away from Georgia. We made what we felt was the best decision for our family and thus moved to my sisters farm in Tennessee! This is my first blog post since the move and well…it’s been an adjustment. But, it’s an adjustment that feels completely and totally right for us. So here’s a bit of a recap on all the highlights of this week.
I sit here in the early morning hours, alone, sipping my coffee. All of my favorite mugs are packed away. Wrapped carefully and put into boxes. As is the rest of our belongings. A whirlwind of happenings and I feel I am only just now catching my breath.
